Skogro treetop cabin - at one with nature

Skogro - Unique treetop cabin in Ringsaker

8 guests 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom

About Skogro

Our cabins are built winter-insulated with a bedroom with skylight on the ground floor, living room/kitchen area, bathroom with shower/toilet and large windows. On the 2nd floor, 12 meters above the ground, there are 6 beds with skylights. There are terraces around both cottages, with a nook for morning coffee to the east, and a sunny terrace to the south.

The cabins stand on their own glulam constructions that are 10 meters high, and are well fixed in buried concrete foundations. Access is via a staircase consisting of 53 non-slip and childproof steps.

Pets are not allowed during our stay with us. We want everyone to be able to use our cabins, even those who are allergic. Dogs are also not suitable on farms with cattle, as dangerous situations can arise.

We recommend our guests to bring food, drinking water and a flashlight / headlamp. It is also possible to buy food from the farm which will be handed out on arrival.

Inside the cabins there are various board games and card games, all of bed linen and towels (99, - per person, can choose to bring your own), as well as dope paper and cube candles / tealights. There is a road all the way up, and the cabin is heated in winter.

What a stunning stay we had in the treehouse! Loved watching the birds from the deck and the view couldn't be beat. Highly recommend for a get away!

"We've now been to Faråsen twice, in the summer and now during the winter holidays. Both wooden cabins are just as nice, great views, squirrels and birds that keep us company and cozy with a fire in the oven. There's always plenty to do with the kids, with kick-sledding and a ski slope right from the cabin in winter, small water with a rowing boat in summer and a shelter with a fire pit and plenty of firewood all year round. We're already looking forward to next time!

We have had the best winter vacation ever! It's set on acres of a beautiful but well maintained forest with picturesque views from the tree house miles away! We felt like we appeared in a fairy tale or a well decorated movie studio, how wonderful the place is. Peaceful, safe, quiet, green and full of crystal white snow, clean air and untouched nature make this place truly priceless!
The treetop house on this site is the best a good engineer can develop! It is such an exceptional experience when you wake up in the morning in a complete silence with no traffic, no airplanes, no railway, no people, surrounded only by the tops of spruce and pine trees and birds with squirrels come to say hello and eat the seeds that you give them.
Ruben and Merete are the best hosts we have ever met, truly kind and caring couple who have made our vacation unforgettable! The house is very comfortable and offers everything you need to spend wonderful time with your loved one! 100 out of 10!

Ruben and Merete were very nice to accommodate our big family at the last minute. They were willing to meet our needs and helped us a lot! We also ordered burgers and eggs from their farm - it was delicious. The place itself is magical, especially at this time of year - an abundance of edible berries and mushrooms was a treat. And how often do you stay in a real treetop house that is super comfortable and has all the amenities? Our kids were in awe.

Beautiful cabin ten meters up in the air. We were four adults and a 2.5-year-old girl who had a great time. We were visited by squirrels and birds throughout our stay, and enjoyed good food (ordered from the farm), games and blueberry picking. Would definitely do it again.

I can highly recommend a stay at Skogro! Talk about a fantastic location and idyllic surroundings. We had an incredibly nice and peaceful stay in Ruben and Merete's treetop cabin. Here you really live close to nature with all kinds of birds and squirrels right outside the window. In addition, the cabin has all the facilities, good beds, is clean and tidy and far from the nearest neighbor. A big plus is an incredibly cozy shelter with a fire pit. We felt incredibly lucky to have a stay here, and have a great desire to one day return. Thank you very much!

Driving tips in winter

From the center of Brumunddal up to Faråsen Tretoppgård there are several different routes. In the summer, they're all fine, each with its own charm. In winter, however, we recommend that you take this specific route. Click here for a link to the recommended route on google maps.
